This blog is one young professional’s take on the world of non-profit public relations. As a public relations graduate student and a young professional with non-profit experience, i will try to fairly portray the reality of public relations in non-profit organizations today.

For better or worse, students and young professionals tend to view non-profit as the warm and fuzzy side of PR. Although professionals may experience personal satisfaction working toward a cause instead of a profit, non-profit PR is not  something to take lightly. In fact, non-profits often have as much red tape as corporations but with a fraction of their budgets and resources.

Through the examination of current PR issues facing non-profits, this blog will inform students and young professionals of positives and negatives of working for a non-profit organization.

As I am a student and this blog has been developed as a learning tool, I do welcome comments and suggestions–whether in agreement or dissent. All comments will be reviewed prior to posting to control for the use of foul or discourteous language.
